Tyler Hoechlin: Season 2, we kind of tease with something, and I can’t say whether or not it turns into anything. Um, but, um… we’ll see. 

Jeff Davis: We’re working on [a love interest for Derek].

Dylan O’Brien: He’s got this whole Lydia thing Season 1, and that’s how it started this season, but I think it changes a little bit. I don’t know. There might be somebody else.

Jeff Davis: We’re going to throw a wrench in Stiles’ pursuit as well. His love for Lydia is still there, but it’s going to get sidelined, possibly, by another love interest.

So, in 2x11 Stiles still showed feels for Lydia. And they haven’t hint at anything Derek/romance related yet.

That means something will happen in 2x12, where Stiles has been kidnapped and Derek will most probably help him. And after that opening scene and what happened to Derek tonight, I think this could be a very cathartic experience for both of them.

Stiles is so terrified he’s suffering from hyper-vigilance syndrome, he needs to feel safe and in control again. Derek needs to feel needed and part of something. Am I the only one seeing the perfect match here?
